Just days before Christmas, Sara is staying with her Grandad while her parents wait at home for the arrival of her new baby brother. As the snow falls, Grandad helps her build an igloo in the garden with a little snow bear to watch over it, and tells her about the time he lived with an Inuit family in the Canadian Arctic. That night Sara wakes to find the world transformed into a vast land of ice, the snow bear come to life beside her. She sets off on an enchanted journey through the frozen Arctic, but the further she travels, the more she wonders whether she will ever find her way home. A gentle, magical wintry tale about courage, homesickness and a new arrival in the family, perfect for the run-up to Christmas.
