The Beast Quest is set in the Kingdom of Avantia, which has been watched and protected by six mythical beasts, a fire dragon, a sea serpent, a mountain giant, a horse-man, a snow monster and a flame bird, since the very first settlers arrived. Six fearsome beasts have been cast under an evil spell by the Dark Wizard Malvel, and are destroying the kingdom. Our hero Tom and his friend Elenna must free the beasts from the spell and save the land. In this opening adventure, Tom is sent from his village to King Hugo's palace to seek help, and his first task is to face Ferno the Fire Dragon. One nice touch many parents appreciate is that the hero never has to kill the beasts, he only has to unlock the enchanted collars around their necks, and then the beasts become friendly again.
